Help Me Pick • Pick One Delete One • You Get One
These are easy starting points. Every idea below is yours to choose. You only need one video and one version.
Your phone is enough
Three ways to make your video
These instructions use CapCut mobile. You can use another editor you know. Button names can vary by app version; some optional features may require a paid plan.
1. Add only your voice • easiest
- Choose a video below. Tap Open / save MP4. If it plays in your browser, use the player menu or your phone’s Share menu to save/download the file. If your editor cannot find it, open the downloaded file in Files/Downloads and save it to Photos or your gallery where available.
- Open CapCut → New project → choose that video → Add. Keep the vertical 9:16 shape.
- Move the playhead to the start. Open Audio and look for Record, Voiceover or Record audio. Allow microphone access if prompted.
- Record what you actually think while watching the shirts. You can record one short section at a time. Re-record a section if needed. These videos are intentionally silent.
- Add your commission disclosure near the start as readable text and say it aloud. Add captions for your voice, then correct any transcription mistakes.
- Export at 1080p, 30 fps. Watch once with sound and once muted. Your voice and disclosure should be clear.
What could I talk about? Which design catches your eye, what you would choose, what you would skip, or who you would buy it for. Use your own words.
2. Put your face at the beginning • simple
- Use your phone camera to record a vertical 2–5 second intro in a quiet spot. Say what you’re deciding or reacting to. Include the relationship disclosure at the beginning.
- In CapCut, start a project with your face clip first and the downloaded Iron Oak video second. Drag clips into that order if needed.
- Trim the pause before you speak and after your sentence. Keep your original camera audio on the face clip.
- Add voiceover over the product section using the steps above. Avoid repeating the whole intro in the voiceover. A plain cut between clips works well.
- Add captions and disclosure text, then export at 1080p, 30 fps. You can also put your face clip at the end instead.
3. Put your face over the shirts • picture-in-picture
- Record a vertical reaction clip with your phone camera. Import the Iron Oak video as the main clip in CapCut.
- Choose Overlay → Add overlay and select your face clip.
- Resize and move your face to a clear area. Check every shot so you do not cover product names, shirt details, disclosure or platform controls.
- Trim and drag the overlay so each reaction lines up with the correct shirt. Keep your face clip’s sound; mute duplicate voice tracks if you also recorded voiceover.
- Optional: try the editor’s background-removal/cutout tool if available. A small rectangular face clip works too; green-screen effects are not required.
- Check captions and disclosure, then export at 1080p, 30 fps.
Official help: recording your voice • adding an overlay. We supply MP4s, not native CapCut templates.
Your path with Iron Oak
Start creating. Grow from there.
- Start as an affiliate. Your accepted Collabs offer states your commission and payment terms. Use your own affiliate link/code. No purchase is required.
- Start with our videos, without a free shirt. Joining does not include product seeding or a posting fee. Choose one idea and add your honest voice or face.
- Make a sale, then we review product seeding. Usually we consider sending product after your first approved affiliate sale, alongside your content quality, audience fit and follow-through. A sale starts a review; it does not automatically earn a shirt.
- Exceptions are selective. We may consider earlier seeding for standout content, demonstrated audience fit or a specific campaign need. Iron Oak must approve each exception separately before product is offered or sent.
- Higher tiers are possible. Strong partners may be considered for higher commission tiers based on performance and creative contribution. Upgrades require individual approval and updated Collabs terms. They are not automatic and do not automatically include gifts.
Once you actually receive and try a shirt, you can make a genuine product-in-hand follow-up. Product gifts, paid deliverables and advertising usage rights are agreed separately.
Before you post
Read the Iron Oak Creator Rules. Johnny Grillos is your affiliate point of contact and approves videos and other promotional content.
- Keep it truthful. Say “I would choose this,” not “I love the fit,” unless you have really tried it. Disliking a design is fine. No invented sales figures or bestseller claims.
- Disclose clearly. Show and say that you earn commission near the start, and put it at the beginning of the caption beside your link. Use applicable platform commercial-content labels too. Disclose gifted products if received.
- Use your own link/code from Collabs. Mention a discount only if your actual offer includes one. Prices, inventory and offers can change.
- Use original files and permitted audio. Keep shirt colors and proportions accurate. Your voice alone is fine; use music only when you have commercial-use rights.
Example: “Ad • I earn commission on purchases through my link.”
Written approval before every promotional post: email your final video or accessible viewing link and proposed caption to Johnny Grillos at johnny@ironoaktx.com. Include your social handle, planned channel and idea/version. Johnny reviews facts, disclosures and presentation while preserving your honest opinion. Wait for Johnny’s written approval before publishing each Iron Oak promotional video, story, image or caption. Concept approval does not replace final-content approval; material changes require review again. Silence is not approval. After your approved post goes live, send Johnny the live URL. For questions or follow-ups, email Johnny at the same address.
No purchase, posting quota, guaranteed free shirt or guaranteed posting fee. Your commission terms are in Collabs. Product gifts and paid advertising use are separate agreements. The draft check does not add a condition to commission already earned under your offer.
